Byte Night, the annual IT industry event in aid of Action for Children, will be attended this year by Integrity’s Joe Hanly and Stuart Holness.

Byte Night, one of the IT industry’s biggest annual fundraising events, is set to take place on Friday the fourth of October this year, marking a sixteen year tradition of raising money in aid of the charity Action for Children.

Byte Night events are held annually across the country, and Integrity Trader will be attending the traditional sleep-out at London’s Potters Field Park on the banks of the River Thames.

Previous Byte Nights have seen more than 1,000 IT and software industry leaders brave the elements and simulate the rough sleeping experience that is the reality for all too many children across the UK every year. Action for Children is a charity devoted to ensuring that the nation’s young people have to live with neglect, poverty and homelessness no longer.

This year, Integrity Trader’s very own Stewart Holness and Joe Hanly will be among those once again taking to their sleeping bags in the brisk London air in order to raise awareness – and money – for this most worthwhile of causes.

‘There are countless children across the UK who are vulnerable and need our help to put a roof over their heads,’ said Stewart. ‘Byte Night is a fantastic opportunity for the retail software industry to contribute to a charity that’s genuinely changing people’s lives for the better.’

‘Stewart and I are getting to be old hands at this,’ added Joe. ‘Sure, it can be uncomfortable to spend a night out of doors, but that’s the reality for many young people here in Britain. For us it’s just one night, and hopefully, that will be enough to ensure that hundreds of children never have to sleep rough again.’
