Almost every customer that has used Trader will know Paul. Based in Dublin, Paul has been with Integrity for over 11 years and is responsible for encouraging new businesses to move onto Trader and looking after customers once they come on board. Here we look at a typical day in the life of Paul.

Being based in Ireland and working with a number of customers across Ireland and the UK, I am often off flying over to the UK which can be a start as early as 4am from Dublin airport, which I know every inch of! Generally a day starts with some breakfast with the family early before hitting the road.

10:00

I meet a wide variety of businesses on a regular basis, some are customers already using Trader and some are potential new clients that are looking for a retail solution to better manage their business. In both cases I try to go and see people as much as possible as it is often more productive than talking over the phone.

11:30

If I am meeting with a potential new customer, I first arrange a consultation to see what the business is looking to achieve and explore how Trader can help their business. I then document their requirements, have a discussion with the rest of the team internally, before going back and showing them a demonstration of how we propose Trader can help.

After my morning meeting, I often touch base with other departments within Integrity, include the Support team to make sure all is going well and help answer any questions they may have relating to specific customers.

For lunch is normally grab a sandwich and coffee from the nearest, most convenient, half decent looking place I can stumble upon – I have had some interesting lunches!

Having met with a client in the morning, I normally head back to our Dublin office in the afternoon where possible so I can get some of my admin work done and catch up on calls I need to make to customers. As an Account Manager I am the go to person for customers that would like to purchase some training or additional user licenses, but I am also able to assist when customers want to explore how new functionality within Trader can help with any challenges they face.

I work closely with our administration and finance teams in Marlow and will often help to make sure hardware is set to be delivered on new sites which are going live on Trader.

17:55

I generally head home at around 6pm if I’m in Dublin and aren’t flying home to the UK or off to stay in a hotel ready for a meeting the following day and to unwind, will take the dog for a walk.
