New functionality is being added into Trader all the time so this month, product specialist Niall Keating explores some of the new modules available for Trader that you may not be aware of.

Web Order Module

Using our existing Web Order module,  you have an option to integrate Trader with your existing e-commerce web site. This enables sales orders from customers to be automatically imported into Trader.  The orders can then be managed on a simple to use web queue within the Point of Sale module. Up to date stock level and price information can be automatically sent to the web site also.

Credit Card Integration

Trader will shortly be configured to automatically accept credit card payments at the Point of Sale, using YESPay as the service provider. This will eliminate the existing re-keying of credit card amounts once the sale has been completed.

Electronic Signature System

Using our integration with the ePad® signature pad, your customers can now electronically sign for goods received in the store. The signature is then stored on an image of the docket as proof of delivery, enabling it to be sent (by print of email) as part of the standard month end statement /  invoice run. This will eliminate the need for staff having to fax / scan previously signed delivery dockets when customer payments are being requested.

Emailing Statements

Preparing and posting customer statements can cost more than £1 per statement on stationery alone. This new module helps to significantly reduce that cost with the ability to email customer statements including copies of each individual invoice as required: monthly, fortnightly, weekly.

Trader uses the email addresses stored against a customer record to send out to each customer in one batch, combatting the time and cost inefficiencies of manually preparing and posting customer statements each month.

Trader Marketing

Keep customers coming back by sending your instore promotions as personalised low cost email marketing messages directly from Trader. This module allows you to select which customers to target based on information within Trader, for example products purchased, amount spent, cash or credit customers. You are then able to quickly build your email marketing messages from within Trader without paying external agencies.

There is the ability to add attachments to emails to support your promotions such as product information, letters or flyers and the message can be personalised before sending straight from your Trader system.
